I am hooked on homemade hummus right now. It takes less than 5 minutes to whip up in my Blendtec blender. And, now my daughter can't get enough bell peppers as that is our choice of "dipper" for this tasty and healthy dip! Add some fresh herbs to get some extra flavor and change things up!
- 1 15 ounce can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- ¼ cup tahini
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup water
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- ¾ tsp salt
- Pinch cayenne pepper
- 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- Process all ingredients in a food processor until smooth, about 40 seconds. Transfer to a serving bowl and chill until the flavors have blended, at least 30 minutes.
